Flood Determination - Business Policies
Loan ID Chanages:
- You are able to change the Loan ID up to 90 days after the order date. If you need a determination with a new Loan ID and it is past 90 days, you will need to order a new determination.
Multiple Loan ID's
- Each loan requires its own determination. If you are manually processing a determination, complete the original with only one loan and have the client place additional orders for the other loans.
- Also, upon reviewing a dispute and you see this, revise the determination to only include one loan and have them place an additional order.
Borrower Name Change:
- You are able to change the borrower name up to 90 days after the order date. If you need a determination with a new borrower name and it is past 90 days, you will need to order a new determination.
Upgrading from Basic Determination to a LIfe of Loan Determination:
- You are able to change the service level of a determination within 30 days of the order date. If you need a determination upgraded and it is beyond 30 days, you will need to order a new determination.
Recertifications:
- Unfortunately, we do not recertify previous flood determinations - if you are in need of a determination with an updated date you will need to reorder for the property. However, you can reuse a flood certificate if it falls within these categories spelled out by the NFIP Mandatory Purchase Guidelines:
- It is less than 7 years old; and
- No new or revised FIRM or FHBM has been issued in the interim; and
- It was initially recorded on the SFHDF.
Back Dating
- For compliance reasons the completion date on a flood determination must accurately reflect the actual date that the order was completed. The determination date will change if we have made an update due to a new FEMA effective map or if we have overturned a dispute and the flood insurance requirements have changed.
